Project Highlight
Radar Study of Marbled Murrelets for the Skagit Hydroelectric Project Relicense
We were tasked with designing a terrestrial and boat-based ornithological radar study. This project was to assess the presence and abundance of the endangered marbled murrelet within the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project, located in the rugged North Cascades Mountains of Washington State.
Our findings, paired with a study of habitat suitability, provided critical data to protect these federally endangered birds while supporting renewable hydroelectric energy for Seattle and its present and future residents.
